Why
Books?
hen
a parent, a grandparent, aunt or other adult reads to a young
child, the child experiences the wonder of reading, and taking
those almost magical trips to far away places.
Even
as an infant, the child recognizes certain voices and listens
intently. Children love all the colorful and imaginative illustrations.

Books
can be used to build lasting memories of interesting people and
places. Books are saved, read over and over again, and passed
down from one generation to the next.
Books
broaden our world and increase our vocabulary, taking us to new,
undiscovered worlds of excitement and adventure.
Even
more importantly, books provide us with the opportunity to spend
time together.
